Job Description

Responsible for applying check payments from bank lockboxes and balancing receivable accounts accurately, timely and efficiently. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Maintain a line of communication with department leadership and management on the overall status of the assigned duties
  • Work with various departments to correct upstream billing issues/duplicate billings
  • Work posting/billing errors daily that load into the Accounts Receivable system
  • Verify cash received through the PNC Bank lockboxes are applied timely and correctly, incoming payments may apply to receivables or various accruals managed primarily by Promotions team
  • Evaluate system/process for improvements/enhancements
  • Linking vendors; or transferring receivables in order to take advantage of company-wide deductions
  • Balance all receivable accounts on a weekly basis; complete all balance sheets for closing
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Self-Starter, highly organized, proficient at multi-tasking with a positive attitude
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high changing environment
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of files, conversations and documents
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, math skills, broad knowledge of accounting best practices and balancing experience
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable system, Lockbox application, Vendor Payment Systems and Vendor Book
