As a Data Center Technology Engineer, your mission is to maintain day-to-day stability, ensuring customer requests are being met following defined standards and providing technical guidance to 24x7 shift engineers. This is a senior support resource in the day-to-day technology operations of JPMorgan Chase mission critical data centers. The purpose of this role is to maintain operational stability and handle customer requests while working on shifts to supports the 24x7 operation. Duties include installing and configuring enterprise class technology hardware, troubleshooting hardware and network issues, maintain change control process in the data center, and support 3rd party vendor activities. You will be a subject matter expert in an advanced world-class data center environment. Embracing leading-edge technologies and collaborate with peers across the globe to enhance our daily operations methodologies.

* Advanced infrastructure project, operations systems and data analytics knowledge 

* Understand principles of Data Center capacity (space, power, cooling, infrastructure)

* Working knowledge of a physical IT infrastructure (server, networking, SAN) 

* Experience with ITIL control processes 

* Knowledge of Data Center technologies and associated environmental tooling and monitoring 

* Experience supporting enterprise-class hardware deployments 

* Understanding of network concepts (switching and routing, perimeter security) 

* Familiarity with infrastructure applications (e.g. DNS, Active Directory, etc)

* Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot and deliver strategic solutions to clients 

* Effective collaboration and communication to achieve common goals and maintain a company standard of excellence 

* Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including use of DCIM-type tooling to identify issues or assess opportunities 

* Proactively monitor and update workload queues and interact with customers to understand and coordinate requirements 

* Experience with physical layer infrastructure and testing tools (racking, cabling) 

* Experience training peers in the use of data center operations tools, processes and procedures 

* Understanding of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX, etc.) 

* General knowledge of storage systems 

* Basic knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
