Chase Business Banking serves over three million small business customers in the US with deposit, merchant, cash management, treasury, and lending products and advisory services. Small business owners and their delegates can access Business Banking products and services through branches, online, or a Relationship Manager.

This Finance Associate position will be responsible for managing the business cases for Business Banking Lending strategic initiatives, as well as conduct ad hoc analysis to support the business. S/he will work closely with key functional groups and stakeholders e.g. General Manager of Lending, Sales, Marketing, Risk, and Strategy to create and deliver robust analysis and business cases supported by data.

To be successful in this position, one must possess strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, mathematical, data, and analytical skills. Additionally, s/he should have a good sense of financial principles, strong business acumen, basic financial modeling experience, and the ability to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects and work streams. Examples of key functions and responsibilities include:

  • Identify and analyze key business drivers
  • Create basic financial models to illustrate volume, revenue, expense, and credit losses
  • Coordinate with partners in the Business, Risk, Strategy, and Operations to create assumptions
  • Use data and analysis to effectively challenge performance and impact assumptions
  • Coordinate with IT Finance partners to create and maintain business cases and prioritization
  • Present business cases using online tools and PowerPoint to various levels of management to inform prioritization discussions
