Job Description

The USAF partnered with AT&T to consolidate multiple disparate expenditures and IT projects into a consolidated enterprise while still allowing its users to retain the ability to tailor services and service levels. AT&T is providing commercial IT services to the USAF to improve performance of IT services and allow re-missioning of military personnel to cyber warfighting missions.

The AT&T Network as a Service (NaaS) team has an opening for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). Our NaaS team is dedicated to improving the USAF IT experience through commercial services to increase mission effectiveness. It supports the AF Program Management Office, Air Combat Command, 16AF and subordinated units delivering high-availability and secure network capabilities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with team leaders to report on key metrics related to project status
  • Coordinate with AT&T staff, management, and Program Managers to ensure AT&T and Federal Acquisition Regulation policies are followed by all personnel while managing both proposal development and contract execution
  • Work with technology controls to perform inherent risk assessments and assess technology integration capabilities
  • Translate complex data requests into clear, business-oriented communications
  • Display competence in systems analysis and technical writing to support SOPs
  • Utilize knowledge of compliance, including risk assessments leveraging NIST guidance such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF) or Federal Risk Management Program (FedRAMP)
  • Support operational best practices while flexibly taking ownership of tasks and/or project work streams
  • Execute technology risk surveys and establish appropriate escalation paths, as required, ensuring risks and issues are tracked and escalated to the correct forums, as necessary
  • Coordinate with Vulnerability Management team weekly to determine status and remediation courses of action.

Required Clearance:

TS/SCI Eligible. Must have held a TS/SCI position w/in the past 24 months and be willing to take a counter espionage polygraph if required. (#ts/sci)

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or 15+ years of equivalent experience, to include:
  • Information Technology (IT) and project management experience, preferably within commercial or Department of Defense (DoD) spaces
  • System engineering and administration across areas such as network engineering, network security system accreditation, system acquisition, etc.
  • Current CISSP or Security+ certification
  • Background in USAF Cyberspace Operations and understanding of technical discussions and projects, to include DoD cyberspace systems and networks
  • Strong understanding of USAF systems and networks, and their related/historical vulnerabilities, specifically within 16AF

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading small teams (min. 10 personnel), with responsibility for requirements and personnel
  • Professional certifications in:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Familiarity with AT&T DoD service offerings, preferably relating to USAF and/or Network as a Service
  • Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present analytical data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiar with Tenable Nessus (aka ACAS) vulnerability scanner process as applicable to the Air Force Cyber mission and reporting.
