Job Description

Individual contributor role with leadership characteristics. Supports domestic and international consumer, commercial, and wholesale bank businesses or services functions by processing transactions in one or more of the company's internal processes. Basic level reporting, customer service support, reviewing and processing transactions for item processing, sorting using electronic or mechanical equipment, reconciling, statement rendering, MICR/image, float, lock box, remittance, ATM deposit, and other support operations functions as needed are all possible responsibilities. Internal operational and financial controls are maintained and ensured to fulfill bank standards. Ensures that the assigned area's internal business partners and/or external customers/clients receive quality service and effective and efficient operational support. To fulfill deadlines and goals, you must be able to prioritize and distribute daily tasks. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the processes and procedures, as well as the ability to recognize and implement possibilities for process improvement. It's possible that you'll offer advice and direction to team members who are less experienced.

Typical job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Items previously deposited or approved for payment that have been returned unpaid by the paying bank, as well as On-Us checks that cannot be paid against client accounts and are rejected from posting.
  • completing secondary exception reviews
  • Completing Notifications for Large Sums of Money
  • R&E researches goods, repairs them for posting, or returns them to their source when exceptions processing items, including checks and electronic transactions, fail to post.
  • Processing IDS transactions, which necessitates a number of human processes to guarantee that transactions are properly posted or returned.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines, following rules and processes, complying with regulatory requirements, and upholding quality standards. May reply to business partners and manage escalation requests.
  • Returns and Exceptions issues are resolved in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Required abilities:

  • Examine your processing history (1-2 years preferred)
  • PC, calculator, and 10-key skills are all required.
  • Flexibility in shifts- Same-day SLAs may necessitate temporary shift changes or extensions.
  • Working knowledge of operations systems like BOSS/FAST, Image View, and FDES is required.
  • Credits and debits are well-understood.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizing abilities
  • Proven ability to work in a high-volume environment while adhering to management's production and accuracy standards and SLAs.
  • Communication abilities that are both verbal and written are essential.
