Description of the Position

GBS Finance – North America keeps track of real estate transactions for more than 2,000 franchisees and 15,000 restaurants across the United States and Canada. We're in charge of calculating and billing rentals and service fees to franchisees and renters, as well as all lease-related and real estate tax payment and accounting activities, as well as construction project and fixed asset accounting.


  • Assists the team in carrying out the GBS continuous improvement plan.
  • Build strong bonds with your accounting team, key customers, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct a lease extension analysis and make a recommendation to Canada Leadership on the property extension.
  • Complete a new term, update the rent analysis, and make a recommendation to Canada Leadership on franchisee rent.
  • Calculate and handle the monthly rent partnering procedure for McDelivery franchisees.
  • Calculate and handle multiple AR billings and chargebacks for the company (ex. Technology, Martin Brower, Marketing).
  • Calculate and manage McDonald's Walmart location franchisee rent adjustments.
  • Make suggestions for how to enhance accounting systems and procedures.


  • Must be completely vaccinated for COVID-19 (at least 2 weeks after previous dose) and produce proof of immunization by the start date if hired.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least three years of qualified accounting experience is required.
  • To lead talks with leadership, you must have excellent verbal and writing communication skills, as well as a strong customer experience focus.
  • To analyze and present account variations, you'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • To improve procedures and increase productivity, adopt a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excel, Word, and Power Point skills are required, with knowledge of Oracle and TRIRIGA a plus.
