The Senior Scrum Master acts as a connection between the Agile software development team and the business (represented by the Product Owner). This job helps the team reach peak productivity by mentoring team members, eliminating obstructions that are impeding their work, and assisting to track their progress while solving for future difficulties. The Scrum Master, as the local expert or "master" of Scrum, is important to the organization's adoption of Scrum and other Agile development approaches.

CONTEXT/WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Employees may be required to complete other job activities as ordered by their supervisors.
  • Identifies difficulties, raises team awareness, organizes and facilitates daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Act as the team's radiator, ensuring that vital internal and external communication is maintained while also increasing overall openness. Mentors and coaches others on a regular basis.
  • Leads development teams that adhere to Agile's basic beliefs, practices, and principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and transparency.
  • Constantly seeks to increase the teams' productivity and effectiveness in any way feasible.
  • Guide the team in making suitable commitments by selecting stories and defining tasks.
  • Evaluate the team's and organization's Scrum maturity and provide coaching.

EDUCATION:

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • A bachelor's degree or relevant job experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or information systems is necessary, or comparable formal training.

EXPERIENCE IN THE WORKPLACE:

  • Five years of Professional Experience in Scrum Master or other formal training is necessary.

PERFORMANCE SKILLS:

  • Ability to work for long periods of time from a [restricted space work station/desk/office area].
  • Ability to utilize a computer quickly and accurately enough to meet the job's requirements
  • Long-term bending, standing, and sitting capabilities
  • To meet the job's requirements, you must be able to communicate and engage with others in English.
  • Able to navigate extensive corridors in major buildings and between campus buildings

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND WORK STYLE:

  • Expertise in airport/airline operations, airport finances, contracts, and a strong appreciation for interpersonal interactions
  • The ability to devise methods for analyzing and negotiating a wide range of papers and contracts is required.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication abilities are required. Must be able to present to small to medium-sized groups in order to exchange knowledge.
  • Must be a self-starter who can use strong problem-solving skills in an unstructured setting while also coming up with new strategies to avoid future difficulties.
  • Demonstrated advanced expertise in meeting planning, preparation, and leadership
  • Must have a high regard for confidential and sensitive information and display it.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain important relationships at all levels of an organization, including the highest levels (for both Internal and External customers). SAFe experience is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must keep a well-groomed appearance in accordance with established Company appearance standards.
  • Must be a United States citizen or have permission to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
  • Must be able to adhere to the Company's attendance policies as outlined in written instructions.
  • Must be completely vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start date in order to comply with Executive Order 14042, which mandates full vaccination of federal contractor employees against COVID-19.
