Job Description
The role is a high-profile Senior Industrial Engineer who will be in charge of HPU, the Benchmark Calculator, the IE team's expense database, manufacturing planning studies, and all future programs, as well as owning, maintaining, and reporting on them. This Senior Industrial Engineer will collaborate with production shop directors and manufacturing sites, as well as senior leadership from planning, finance, ME, and MO.
The role is a high-profile Senior Industrial Engineer who will be responsible for developing, driving, teaching, leading, and reporting on the following:

  • Hours per Unit Management & Benchmark Calculator
  • Benchmark Calculator (Excel File) Product Owner – handles updates and ensures that programs are forecasting utilizing the BMC. HPU Objectives
  • HPU's and HPU Walk Charts' product owner
  • Product Planning and Finance for a Long-Term Plan are handled by a GPS Representative. Setting goals - working with PP/Finance/Op Ex/Shop Directors to develop an LTP Hourly Labor Forecast.
  • Updates to the Expense Database on a Monthly Basis
  • Manpower Database Updates on a Monthly Basis
  • Work with EGM and IE Supervisors on Labor Planning and Salary Resource Planning.
  • Participate in department resource recruitment, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Launch Excellence Training for new IEs in BMC and IE Tools
  • Review of Pre-Launch Readiness with IE Supervisors and Lead IE's

Future Program Management

  • Future Program Investment Product Owner IE Research (Estimate Excel File)
  • Participate in the Planning Group's monthly Future Program Planning Meeting.
  • Participate in future program sessions in order to finish the study estimates.
  • Coordinate the start-up of new, approved programs with IE supervisors.
  • Update the IE Program Tracking Sheet so that all IE teams may see it.

Updates to the Expense Database on a Monthly Basis

  • Manpower Database Updates on a Monthly Basis
  • Work with EGM and IE Supervisors on Labor Planning and Salary Resource Planning.
  • Participate in department resource recruitment, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Launch Excellence Training for new IEs in BMC and IE Tools
  • IE Supervisors and Lead IEs conduct pre-launch readiness reviews.

Qualifications in addition to the above

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related subject is required.
  • 10-15 years of experience with engines, transmissions, batteries, and drive units, as well as manufacturing processes, BMC, and HPU experience, and experience working in a manufacturing setting.
