Job Description

Responsible for clerical and administrative duties in any or all hub and station operational areas, such as linehaul, quality assurance, and customer support. To maximize delivery time, tends to damaged and wrongly addressed shipments in a timely manner. For a number of difficulties, acts as a customer's first point of contact.

Functions That Are Required

  • Assists with clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and answering phones for various management and operational roles.
  • Reviews, researches, and/or enters data into various systems to support the functional area in question. Serves as frontline customer service to accept, resolve, and/or escalate customer enquiries and issues by compiling data and providing different regular and adhoc reports to management for evaluation and determination
  • Assists management with BCSA audit activities by retrieving data and/or files for examination. The following functional area assignments, in addition to the above fundamental functions, have extra vital functions as listed below:
  • Other critical Quality Assurance/Loss Prevention functions: •Supports timely delivery and minimizes loss and damage by performing address searches/corrections through various sources and ensuring packages are in good condition for the customer.
  • Prioritizes workflow to maximize the number of packages that can be resolved and sent out for delivery the same day. Inspects and responds to hazardous material damage in accordance with policy. Ascertains that all loose product is accounted for in accordance with business policy.
  • Reviews and trends loss and damaged claims filed to identify improperly charged claims and brings to management's attention
  • Additional Linehaul essential functions: •Researches missing packages to understand the root cause of scanning failures and compiles information on disputed deliveries for management review
  • Reviews and trends loss and damaged claims filed to identify improperly charged claims and brings to management's attention
  • Checks all Independent Contractor (IC) settlement information and enters it into the relevant system to guarantee accurate payments.
  • Compiles required documentation to build and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT)-mandated files, as instructed by the manager.
  • Enters all individual vehicle mileage record information into the system and works with ICs and Linehaul employees to resolve any difficulties
  • Verifies timely log entry into the system
  • Keeps track of a range of KPIs, including as IC chargebacks, complaints, and maintenance compliance, and generates weekly reports for management review.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for IC inquiries or issues relating to settlement, uniforms, decals, and other matters, which are forwarded to management for proper resolution.

Education Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or a GED.

Experience Requirement

Four (4) years of customer service, clerical, or equivalent experience is necessary; dock operations or distribution center experience is desired.

Skills, abilities, and/or licensure are required.

  • Communication abilities, such as typing, data entry, and review, as well as phone, copier, and fax usage Software abilities, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to react to requests effectively and professionally
  • Time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities are required to work in a fast-paced atmosphere, handling several activities and shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in order to complete daily assignments and goals.
